"Seems pritty old to me." Jake said simply, flipping past the familiar story.

"Yeah most of these books in here are hundreds of years old. They've been passed down through my family for generations." Kris says blowing dust off one of the books

Jake sneezed as he grabbed another book. He flipped through it and put it back, uninterested.
He grabbed another one, carefully reading the contents page.
"There's nothing modern about these- they even smell old."

"I know. But this is the most accurate info we will find anywhere. If we wanted even better info we would have to travel to the different ends of the world and talk to the elders of both races."

"Probably not different ends..... but yah I get it."
Jake started reading a section of the book he just grabbed.

Kris jotted down some notes from her book. "This is going to be fun trying to figure out how to cite these with out getting laughed at."

"Meh, I'll burn that bridge when i cross it."

"Alright then." Kris kept writing down notes.

Wes finally speaks up, "what'll be fun is trying to figure out how biased all these legends may be. Since we're reseaching a *rivalry*, its more than likely that over half of these will be."

"Please understand that a lot of these books belonged to the wolves. Not all of them are written by vamps. I understand if you still don't trust me but you will have to get over it as these books we have here are our only source of some sort of truth." Kris grabbed a magnafyin glass and looked at an old territory map

"oh, well, i didn't mean it like *that*, sorry if i insulted you, but even the wolves were probably biased. most people only state *their* side when talking about a rivalry, so...

"Yeah but you were right about these books being biased. So what all were the requirements for the reports?" Kris snapped a picture of the map with her phone

Wes hands Saya the rubric.

Saya read though the rubric. "Alright."She handed the rubric back to Wes and walked over to a closet. She came back holding something wrapped in cloth. It was long like a persons arm. She set it on the table.

Wes looks curiously at it, "uhhh..."

Saya looks at her. "What?"

"what is *that*?"

"Oh that..." Saya carefully unwrapped the cloth from the thing. She grabbed at something and held it out. It was a sword. Saya held the hilt and blade. "This is one of the few swords left from the great war that the vamps used."

Jake studied it, thinking of the sword his father had. He remembered how it looked but didn't quite remember where it was put.
"Hmm... I've seen one of the old wolf's sword. I'll try to dig that up."

Wes smiles at the term 'dig it up'.

"You do that." Saya wrapped the old sword up

Wes picks up one of the books on the table and opens it to a random page, skimming it for anything interesting.

Jake returned his focus to the book on his lap. He frowned and tried another one. After a third one he leaned back on his elbows.
"Well this is boring..."

Wes looks at Jake, "would yu rather be *in school* doing this with the peice of crap books?"

Jake yawned.
"It doesn't matter what i prefer, I'm still suspended."
